BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I worked for twenty-five years with a religious organization in Spain. I lived among Spanish people from all walks of life. In addition to religious responsibilities, my work involved official and unofficial contact with Spanish governmental agencies on provincial and municipal levels concerning secular, cultural, and religious matters. Over the years, I mastered the Spanish language. I returned to the United States in 1990, semi-retired and have worked in language related employment since 1997. I authored a religious book in Spanish published in 1991, translated another small book into Spanish, and authored a satirical novel in English, The Prayer Amendment, released in June, 2003. I am married and have three grown daughters. My wife retired in 2004 from teaching Spanish at our local high school.
Since the summer of 2004, I have spent two months each summer in San Miguel de Allende (Guanajuato) Mexico honing my interpretive and translation skills.
